One size fits all? NOT!
[ send me this paper ]
(6pp) I thought of her one-size-fits all story when we were talking about "zero tolerance." If this were not a school paper, I would just say that it "sucks," and leave it at that, because I think that the zero tolerance policy is similar to that one size fits all shirt deal. I can understand that parents have been freaked out by all the violence stuff that has been on the news and at other schools. It is a scary thing. I agree with that. I do not think that guns or alcohol belong in school, but our school handbook says that there will be "zero tolerance" for "unacceptable behavior; disrespect to staff," or guns. Anybody who needs to bring a gun to school has zero brain cells - so they should get into trouble for that Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Piaget and Middle Cildhood.
[ send me this paper ]
(5 pp). Jean Piaget wanted to understand how kids think. His reasoning was that, if he observed children's cognitive skills development carefully some patterns would develop. Recording and being aware of those patterns would then help him make some decisions about how we think and accrue knowledge as adults. This discussion will consider Piaget's theories of development for middle childhood. And for the sake of discussion we will define the age of that child between 7 to 11. In fact, prescriptions for Ritalin alone rose by 600 percent since the late 1980s. The writer provides a comprehensive investigation of the diagnosis and the use of prescribed drugs. Some studies allege that children are overdiagnosed and overmedicated, some concluded that many children slip through the cracks and are not diagnosed and treated, while still others suggest it is an issue of misdiagnosis and improper medication. This essay concludes with a discussion that addresses the ethics of prescribing these medications to children, when many have not been approved for use below the age of 18. Statistical data included.
