STATISTCAL TECHNIQUES AND DATA PRESENTATION
[ send me this paper ]
The 7-page paper focuses on statistical evaluation methods, qualitative and quantitative techniques for collecting data and methods of how to present data once it is collected. Particular focus on is placed on the Kirkpatrick and Phillips models of data collection.

STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF JOURNALISTIC DATA
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page paper extracts a sex survey number and disproves its claim based on statistical probabilities, including linear correlation and regression, sampling, and hypothesis testing. Bibliography lists 2 sources.

Statistical Analysis of the House Banking Scandal
[ send me this paper ]
This 6 page paper considers the statistical analysis of The House Banking Scandal, also known as Rubbergate. The writer also demonstrates to the student how they may undertake a chi squared hypothesis test. The bibliography cites 2 sources.

Statistical Analysis of Website Use
[ send me this paper ]
A 4 page paper analyzing a study and suggesting descriptive statistics that could have been used in data analysis. Thomson (2001) sought to determine whether the existence of community networks enhances the social capital in rural Scotland. She chose to study a single community network site, assessing the qualities of the site and surveying visitors’ reactions and comments. The notion that a local web site can positively contribute to the social capital of an area is a perspective that communities in any area of the world could use to build social capital. Bibliography lists 2 sources.

Statistically Assessing Effectiveness of a Gas Additive
[ send me this paper ]
A 6 page paper offering a study design for assessing the claims of the manufacturer of a gas additive that users will achieve a minimum of 25 percent increased fuel efficiency with the use of its product. The purpose here is to identify appropriate statistical tests of data, including ANOVA, Chi-square and similar statistical techniques.. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Statistically Assessing Quality at Wilson Tire
[ send me this paper ]
A 6 page paper finding the design shortcomings of a test of tire longevity and discussing appropriate statistical measures that should be used. Winston Tire Company claims its new tires last for 40,000 miles. This is presented not as a guarantee of minimum mileage purchasers can expect, but rather as an average. An independent agency road-tested 100 tires in an effort to evaluate the company’s claims, creating a sample of n = 100. An independent testing agency has tested Wilson tires and found them lacking, but the truth is that the study is so poorly designed that the agency cannot make any definitive determination about the quality of Wilson tires. The purpose here is to identify appropriate statistical tests of data. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Statistics Overview
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper discussing the science of statistics and its use in
today's environment. The study and use of statistics must be done in such a way that an accurate
view results from statistical manipulation. Some statistical errors are benign and result primarily
from ignorance or poor research design. Others, however, are intentionally promoted for the
purpose of "proving" a desired outcome. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Statistics: T-Ratio and the Homogeneity of Variance
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Identifies, definies and interprets the methods for evaluating the non-homogeneous data sets. Looks at both t-ratios and homogeneity of variance. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

Teaching Maths
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page paper considers the role of small group teaching in mathematics according to Cohen’s “Equal Exchange Model”. The witer considers different mathematical topics to differentiate between the topics that should be taught individually, those that can increase value to the student when small groups are used and those where a combination approach may be best. The bibliography cites 4 sources.

Testing Dow Chemical’s Commitment to the Triple Bottom Line
[ send me this paper ]
An 8 page paper elaborating on the problem statement, hypotheses, sampling and statistical method used in the companion paper, KSmgmtDowTBL.rtf. The proposed method is that of applying regression analysis to Dow’s stock price performance after April 1994, the date that the company announced it would halt production of 1,1,1 trichloroethane by December 1995, years in advance of the cessation required either by international treaty by 2005 or by the US 1990 Clean Air Act by 2002. The goal is to determine whether Dow’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability correlates with financial performance (i.e., the triple bottom line). Bibliography lists 8 sources. Includes an appendix containing expenditures 1993-2002 for environmental restoration and prevention, and another containing stock price data for the sample period.

The Creative Genius of Albert Einstein
[ send me this paper ]
This 7 page paper look's at the character and through processes of Albert Einstein. The way in which many discoveries were only stepping stones to the next greater discovery is discussed along with the effect that his genius had on his life. The bibliography cites 6 sources.
